Baby Watch: Week 11

We had yet another ultrasound this week, which was a total bonus (and not because there were any issues).

(This is a look back on week 11.  I’m currently at 20 weeks, but want to get these all posted in order.)

Week 11: March 26 – Apr 1

Baby Size: Lime

Maternity Clothes: Nope

Sleep: Much less tired, but I have trouble getting comfortable at night sometimes.  I’ve had some friends recommend buying a Snoogle pillow, but I don’t know if I can justify a $65 pillow!

Symptoms: Nothing new: tired, constant nausea (though a little less than before), having to pee at night, I get out of breath at odd times and slightly more than usually.

Workouts: Volleyball, elliptical, weights, walking/jogging on treadmill.

Good moments of the week?  Getting a bonus ultrasound at my appt.  The room was open and she thought it’d be easier to find the heartbeat with an ultrasound versus the doppler.  We got a great picture and it definitely looks like a baby now.  It’s so much bigger than the last ultrasound.  It was exciting to send that to our families and friends now that it looks like something.  This picture makes me think of E.T.!

baby 11 weeks

Movement: Nothing

Food cravings: Banana protein pancakes – I made a huge batch on Saturday because I loved them so much and they make a perfect breakfast for me.

Food aversions: Nothing specific.  I was able to eat a little more this week.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night

What I’m looking forward to: Our NT scan on Wednesday – I’m excited to get a better picture, and most importantly, good results!  This test screens for the likelihood of certain chromosomal disorders.  It’s an ultrasound combined with a blood test.  We also have a few friends we are telling this week too.  We want to wait to tell them as we see them when possible.

Milestones: Less nausea, baby has grown so much, starting to feel my uterus above my pubic bone.
