Baby Watch: Week 9

This was a pretty mild week – nothing new came up, but the symptoms remain.

(This is a look back on week 9.  I’m currently at 20 weeks, but want to get these all posted in order.)

Week 9: March 12 – Mar 18

Baby size: Green Olive.

Maternity Clothes: No – still doing great with my pants

Sleep:  I needed less naps this week and don’t usually sleep in the car now.

Symptoms: Nothing new: tired, constant nausea (but no puking), having to pee at night,  I get out of breath at odd times and slightly more than usually.

Workouts: Eh – not much.  I had a volleyball game, did the elliptical a few times along with few weight sessions.

Best moment of the week?  We had friends come to town on Saturday and told them and another couple that hung out with us.  The one couple is having a baby in June, so it was nice to talk to someone else who is currently pregnant with her first.  And I think it was good for Lo to talk to her husband about their experiences dealing with us -especially in the earlier part of pregnancy (which I’m still in of course).

Movement: Nothing for a few more months probably

Food cravings: Not really.  I was looking forward to the Irish dinner I was making for our friends on Sunday for St. Patrick’s Day – the corned beef and cabbage gratin sounded great all week. But I started feeling terrible right before it was time to make it and Lo had to help me a lot.  We got it all done and luckily I was ok to eat when it was time.
I found myself wanting sweets again, but usually get nauseous after I eat them (but I still don’t learn).  I made some Shamrock Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Food aversions: Still not interested in much food, except for whatever I’m craving that week.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night without peeing, enjoying food

What I’m looking forward to: Telling Lo’s family soon (finally have a date scheduled)

Milestones: Looking forward to a meal, not being excited at all for St. Patrick’s Day (although not being able to drink Guinness for the last few years put a damper on that anyway).
