Menu Monday: Dining out

It’s Menu Monday again.  I’m terrible at menu planning because I have no idea what our evenings will bring, so it’s easy to post our meals after the fact.

We dined out a lot this week, but I had fairly healthy choices and plenty of veggies otherwise.  We were busy getting things organized around the house during the evenings and managed to get most of the nursery ready.  I’m hoping to start doing more cooking than I have been and maybe get some stuff into the freezer in the next few weeks.  I have some meals in there, but it never hurts to have more.

Monday:
Lunch:  Leftover egg bake from the baby shower
Dinner:  Yabo’s Tacos with Chuck and Kelley before the Steelers game.   I had the chicken and rice bowl so I’d have leftovers for lunch.

Tuesday:
Lunch:  Leftover chicken and rice bowl from Yabo’s
Dinner:  Turkey Lettuce Wraps – the recipe was good, but it took longer than expected.  turkey lettuce wraps

Wednesday:
Lunch:  Went to lunch with an old co-worker and had a chicken salad.  I think the dressing changed this time because it seemed different and I’m fairly certain I had a gluten reaction afterwards.  I was very itchy, my stomach didn’t feel good, and I had a headache for 2 days.  Serves me right for not asking since that last time I was there a few months ago.
Dinner:  Tanuki Sushi with Chuck and Kelley.  I had cooked rolls, of course.  Man, I can’t wait to have some raw tuna after this baby comes!

Thursday:
Lunch:  Leftover sushi and turkey lettuce wraps
Dinner:  Burger, tater tots, and stir-fry veggies

Friday:
Lunch:  Turkey lettuce wraps and stir fry veggies
Dinner:  Grilled cheese, 1/2 a burger, and stir-fry veggies

Saturday:
Lunch:  Lo made omelets
Dinner:  We went to Old Bag of Nails for our anniversary with Chuck and Kelley.  We all split chicken nachos, and then I had a bowl of clam chowder and a small spinach salad with chicken.  Kelley ordered the same things and we had to send our salads back twice because they came out with croutons first, and when we sent them back, it was obvious that they reused the same pieces of chicken (which could have had crouton crumbs on them).  The owner came over and took care of the situation for us, so the third time was the charm.

Sunday:
pbbj burgerLunch:  Brunch at The Pint Room in Dublin.  We thought they had a “real” brunch, but that’s actually the Pint House near downtown (or vice versa…I don’t remember which is which).  We decided to stay because we’ve wanted to try the burgers anyway.  I had PBB&J Burger (no bun)…which is a burger with bacon, peanut butter, strawberry jam, and fresh strawberries.  Seriously.  It was awesome.  Lo had a burger with bacon, hashbrowns, and an egg on top.  We were both very pleased.
Dinner:  Gf pizza from Flyers with Chuck and Kelley
