Sunday Social – The New Year

It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup.

  1. Do you plan to change any of your eating habits in the new year? Not specifically.  I could stand to clean it up.  If this is the year that we start a family, then things will certainly change.
  2. Any workout tips to get us back in shape after the Holidays?  Push yourself.  It’s so easy to stick to routines and not go outside of your comfort zone.  I think yoga did wonders for me this year, though I need to get back on it regular – like tomorrow.  Some clothes that I tried on or took on vacation fit me better than before – and I haven’t been very consistent with workouts dealing with my knee issue (which seems much better now), so that’s all that I can attribute it to.
  3. Favorite thing you did over the Holidays?  That’s a really hard choice because we had so great times.  I’m going to cheat and pick two.  Christmas night when we returned from visiting family and exchanged stockings, built a fire, and just relaxed in front of the fire with Boof.  The other favorite would have to be vacation in Siesta Key over New Year’s week.  It’s pretty hard to beat the beach and sunshine with friends.siesta key
  4. What is something you hope that you accomplish in 2013 that you did not in 2012?  Better balance between work, home, and fun.  I tend to allow our schedule to be overbooked while also trying to work full time and maintain two blogs.  I end up not having enough time for projects or house stuff I want to get done.  Having a house and a longer commute means more needs to get done in less time.
  5. Name 3 things happening this year you are excited about and why.
    (1) We are ready (finally, really ready) to start a family and this will hopefully be in the works this year.
    (2) My sister is getting married in May and it seems that most of the family is going to try to make it to Vegas for the wedding (that’s where she lives).
    (3) We’ll be getting a new car.  We were planning to start looking in the next two months, but now we’ll start looking now since the Camry has failed.  We both had our cars since the early 2000’s, so it will be so nice to have a new one.  He and a friend are going to still try to fix the Camry, but it’s a long shot because there may be additional damage that can’t be seen yet.

I’d love to hear your answers in the comments – pick your favorite question!
