Workout Wednesday: Lazy Bones and Vegas

This was definitely the worst workout week in a LONG time.  But for good reason(s).  My knee is pretty jacked – not in a serious way, but in a painful way, so I’m doing PT for that and good god do the exercises make my hip flexor sore!  ALSO, we went on a super-quickly planned surprise trip to be in Vegas for my sister’s engagement.  And we got NO exercise there.  We seriously just sat and drank at various places and argues about sports and Barry Bonds.

Wednesday, November 7

  • Nothing: At least I think nothing.  I know my knee was really bothering me after volleyball the night before, but I kind of feel like I did something….

Thursday, November 8

  • VEGAS

Friday, November 9

  • VEGAS

Saturday, November 10

  • VEGAS

Sunday, November 11

  • SLEEPING!  Recovering from our red-eye from Vegas and hanging out with our dog who we missed so much!  She had a wonderful time with her best friends Nash and Mason.

Monday, November 12

  • Physical Therapy Eval:  The weakness in my right hip was astounding!  The exercises were hard, but not horrible.

Tuesday, November 13

  • Noon – Yoga: We had a sub and she did a great job – it was a little harder than the normal noon class
  • 7:15 p.m. – Dublin Reverse Co-ed Volleyball:  My knee felt okay and then I had a bad dive in the third game and my hip started to hurt…so that may have slipped out of place, which is no surprise because it’s the same injury that I’ve had before from hip weakness and muscle imbalance – and since I have to limp a little sometimes when my kneecap slips out of the groove, I’m sure that makes it worse.  There’s some definite pinching feeling going on.

Seriously…that’s pathetic.  You know what else is pathetic?  We’ve been nanny-caming our dog because we want to make sure we can leave her our of her crate during the day (she’s doing great!) – and she sleeps the entire time we’re going almost.  It’s a motion sensor camera on the computer and this is one of the two times that she got up yesterday.  It’s safe to say that me and my dog are lazy bones.  (excuse the couch mess – we’re trying to control where she lays on the couch and flipped cushions up so she only is on blankets.
