Workouts: June 25 – 29

I have nothing spectacular to report about my workouts.  My shoes are still missing.  I won’t leave shoes in the gym locker room anymore I guess…  None of the workers have said anything to me about looking for them, so I assume they didn’t (which is fine because I told them I didn’t care).

Monday

Noon:  Legs for 20 minutes, elliptical for 20 minutes.  I don’t remember exactly what I did…mostly the harder moves from p90x Legs.

7:00 p.m.:  80 minute Heated Yoga at GoYoga.  This was a pretty hard class.  I didn’t have any laughing problems, but Kelley did.  I try not to look at her or else I’ll laugh too.  It reminds me of how my sister and I took an abnormal psychology class together in college and we couldn’t look at each other or we’d start laughing.  The prof was hilarious (but he wasn’t trying to be “um, number…next”).  I’m pretty sure he wanted to kick us out a few times.  Summer and I also cannot sleep in a hotel room together without cracking up at least once after the lights are turned off.

Tuesday

Noon:  Vinyasa Yoga at Capital Club – standard lunchtime class…not too hard, not too easy – maybe a little easier than normal I think because there were some new people in class.

Wednesday

Noon:  35 minutes of legs and shoulders – again I didn’t follow any routine…I need to do better with that next week.

7:00 p.m.:  Level 2 Hot Yoga at PAI – this class was full and it was HOT.  It’s the first class I’ve taken there since they opened the new hot yoga studio.  It was a good class, but I ate a little too late and my stomach wasn’t feeling spectacular.  After class I went to watch Lo and Kelley play volleyball and had two margaritas…clearly my stomach was feeling better by then.

Thursday

Noon:  Spinning at Capital Club – Class was good, the music was not.  I really like the instructor, but sometimes I think she only has 100 songs on her ipod.  She asks me if my name is Amanda every single class.  I’ve probably been to class more than 20 times in the last year.  When I say “no” she knows it’s Valerie, but she’s never been right on the first try.  I think when she finally gets it right I’m going to say it’s Amanda.  Here was the music though:
  • Somebody that I used to know – Goyte
  • Crazy Train – Ozzy
  • An unknown song that was either country or Latin – I seriously couldn’t tell…Latin Country, I guess
  • Personal Jesus (seriously) (acutally, her “routine” for that song is good, so I should’t complain
  • Something that sounded like a crappy eletronica Madonna song
  • Take it Off – Ke$ha
  • and the last few were standard “clubbing” songs that were fine for spinning

I just feel like Ozzy, Personal Jesus, and Ke$ha shouldn’t co-exist.

Side Crane – this pic is not me…in case you weren’t sure.

5:30 p.m.: Yoga at Capital Club – Loren thought it was pretty hard, but because he was sore.  There’s always a point in Anne’s class that I think to myself – I hate this, I’m going to stop doing yoga – but then I forget about that.  I’m bad at crane and couldn’t do it the night before, but I was able to briefly get into it.  I can do side crane better than regular, which is weird.  I always think I can muscle into poses, but she always says it’s geometry…which I was pretty bad at in school.

Friday

Noon:  I made a nest of blankets and sweaters on my office floor and snatched myself a nap.  Seriously.  I had a headache and I’m lazy.  I never think to take headache medicine until I’ve had a headache for several hours – and then I’m always surprised when it works, even though that’s its job.
