Baby Watch: Week 15

I’m not sick all the time anymore!  And I can work out!  Boof really wants this orange!

(This is a look back on week 15.  I’m currently at 20 weeks, but want to get these all posted in order.)

Week 15: April 23 – April 29

Baby Size: Navel Orange

Maternity Clothes: No, though I tried on the ones that my SIL gave me and maternity pants are amazing!  I thought I would hate them, but I don’t!  I still don’t really need them yet, so I haven’t worn them.

Sleep: Much less tired.  I need to go to sleep earlier on the weekends than pre-pregnancy, but that’s not a terrible thing.  I’ve been waking up slightly earlier on the weekends (it’s still late enough to be embarrassing), but I’m going to enjoy it while I can!

Symptoms: I feel like it’s safe to say the consistent nausea is gone.  It’s still occasion, but is usually related to something (hungry, stop and go traffic, etc).  I get headaches and had a doozy this week so much that I couldn’t eat dinner the one night.  It was probably more like a migraine.

Workouts:  Yoga, a couple of good leg/interval workouts.  It definitely felt like the best workout week in 2 months and I was actually able to push enough to get sore!

Good moments of the week:  We had another appt and were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time.  We should have last time, but she just did an ultrasound instead because the room was free and it would be easier.  Pretty much sounded like a galloping horse.

Movement: Nothing, though the Dr. said within a month I’ll start.

Food cravings:  I made Paleo Banana Muffins from a recipe and they were SO good.  I intend to make a bigger batch next week.

Food aversions: None

What I miss:  Getting a lot of exercise.  I miss workouts a couple of times a week either because I don’t feel well or have an appointment (so I flex out my lunch, which is workout time).  Also, Boof doesn’t walk like a normal dog now that it’s warmer, so even if I do walk her, it’s so incredibly slow that it just makes me mad.

What I’m looking forward to:  Our friends coming back from Florida after 3 weeks.  Getting a haircut finally. It’s crazy-long and gross, but I’ve felt too nauseous to go before and so I get to take advantage of their Earth Day special and get a ½ price cut at Nurtur!

Milestones: My stomach is growing slightly.  Bought a secondhand, but new, baby gate for a great price.
