Baby Watch: Week 10

Week 10 was much the same as the previous weeks.  It’s nice to not be as tired, but the nausea is no joke.  I really hope I’m not one of the unluckys who have it longer than the first trimester.

(This is a look back on week 10.  I’m currently almost 20 weeks, but want to get these all posted in order.)

Week 10: March 19 – Mar 25

Baby Size: Prune

Maternity Clothes: Nope

Sleep: I’m starting to feel less tired and don’t take many naps at all.  It seems like progress!

Symptoms: Nothing new: tired, but not as bad, lots of nausea, get out of breath at odd times and slightly more than usually.  I got a migraine this week that kept me home a day and a half.  Lo hates it when I’m not feeling well and can’t do anything to help.  One day be brought me macarons from Pistacia Vera and another day he brought me a Chocolate and Shamrock Shake.  I could eat either when he brought them because I didn’t feel well, but I was so grateful and able to enjoy later.

Workouts: Volleyball, elliptical, weights here and there – still just 3-4 times/week.

Best moment of the week? Telling Lo’s family.  We met his mom and dad for dinner and got there first.  I had the waitress bring me a ginger ale and lime in a bar glass so it would look like a drink (to throw them off).  Lo rolled up enlarged pictures of the ultrasound in their napkins/silverware.  We chatted, ordered our food, etc. and Lo and I both put our napkins in our laps right away hoping they would, but they waited until our food arrived (which kind of took forever)!  They were very happy – this his mom’s 2nd baby grandchild and dad’s 3rd (compared to my parents 8th), so it’s still so new for them.  We called his sister on our way home (who has an 8 month old) – she’s excited to loan us stuff and hopes we have a girl because she has A TON of clothing.  She’s going to be a great resource – especially since we want to cloth diaper as well – she’s an expert about that stuff now!  His brother was supposed to come to Columbus of the weekend but his plans changed, so Lo text him.  He sent a birthday card with an ultrasound picture to his grandpa, so they found out on Saturday when his mom took it to them.

Movement: That will come later on

Food cravings: Nothing really.  I eat at least one grilled cheese a week, but that’s mostly because it’s the only thing that sounds okay, not because it sounds great.

Food aversions: Still not interested in much food.  I’m not as turned off by sweets, but I don’t crave them either.  Sometimes I just eat them because they look good at that moment.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night, enjoying food

What I’m looking forward to: Next appt. on March 29, telling friends over the next few weeks
