We had a 3 day weekend for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, so that’s always amazing!  We played lots of “chase” and “king of the couch”.  Jenson got a cold towards the end of the week – It stinks because I feel like we can’t keep him healthy and he barely leaves the house!  He mostly just has a runny nose, but was pretty clingy over the weekend with it. I did my best to give him extra cuddles and read him the same book over and over again, if that’s what he wanted.  He started bringing us specific books so he can sit on our lap while we read to him.  If we are sitting on the floor, he just hands us the book and backs up onto our lap.

He had swimming class again and did well again.  We were able to dunk him and he was fine.  I don’t think he loves that part, but he’s not one to fuss very much when other people are around.  He does love watching every one else play in the water.  He gets so tired by the time its over – he’s used to go to bed around 715, and class isn’t over until 7, so that’s a little rough for him.

He’s saying more two-word combos – get it, get down, thank you…a couple of others that I’m forgetting.  When he tries for three words, like “night night daddy” or “night night boof” he combines the second and third words.

And the best – he gave us real kisses this week before bed!  He’s been a kisser for awhile – blowing kisses, open mouth kisses, but now he’ll give us a peck on the lips or cheek.  SOOOOO cute.

He used to push on the dog door, but now discovered that he can drop things outside.  That’ll be interesting once the weather warms up.  Luckily there’s a piece that slides down in to block it.

And he’s quite quick to temper these days (in this case, from me ending the doggie door fun)

Trying on hats.  Concentrating on his tools (and making a daddy-face), and big smiles (with a rashy face for some reason).  Oh so helpful with the dishwasher.  He likes to put clean plastic containers in there when we have it open (there’s an unlocked cupboard he can play in with plastic containers).

Couch wars, part one.  This round goes to Boof.

Couch wars part three:  Jenson beat me.  He was literally sitting on my head and I couldn’t move because my hair was trapped.  And then he smacked me in the eye with that ball.

Playing in his favorite spot.  He puts specific toys in the wagon and he’s very particular if you take them out or set them on the seat on the wagon.  He likes to sit there and kick them with his feet.
He woke early from his nap and wouldn’t stop fussing, so I put him in the carrier to sleep it out.

Dinner with friends.  He took about 45 minutes to warm up, but after he was done eating, he was into them and wanting to walk around the restaurant.
Boof is a fancy dog.  Would you believe that Lo put this on her?!  I swear! (no really, I’m not lying!)

We got to steal our neighbors baby for awhile so they could catch a well-deserved movie (they did us the same favor a few weeks back).  When Jenson woke from him nap, I was downstairs holding Gavin and he wasn’t thrilled with that (like at ALL), so Lo had to hold him for more of the time.  He felt like a feather compare to Jenson (and he’s not even that big).  They are only about 13 months apart – that seems crazy!
We got hit with some snow Sunday night – about 4 inches all in all.
