Sunday Social: Daily life

It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup.  This week’s questions are mostly about daily life.

1. What is the wallpaper on your cell phone?
A picture of Jenson of course.  Until about 2 weeks ago, it was still a picture on the beach from our wedding, but I decided it was time for an update.

2. What do you keep beside your bed?
My nightstand is a mess.  It’s got a ton of crap on it, but the most important things are a blanket to lay down on the bed when I night-nurse Jenson, a burp cloth, nursing pads, a pacifier, my cell phone, my wedding/engagement rings, chapstick, and a ponytail holder.  Those are the only things I “need” on it…but I have much more.

3. What is your least favorite chore?
Putting away laundry.  I like sorting and washing, but I hate the final step of putting it away.  That being said, there are certain things that Lo handles that I’d probably hate if I had to do it, like vacuuming.  (why are there two u’s in that word – even the spelling is stupid).

4. If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be?
Commute to work.  We automatically lose at least an hour of the day just from that.  I’d say showering is my 2nd least favorite daily thing.  I like being clean, but I find washing my hair and shaving to be tedious.  Since I’ve been off, I don’t shower everyday – but I don’t workout or sweat either, so I feel okay about it.  I’ll have to go back to regular showers soon enough (though I hope to not wash my hair everyday still), though I still won’t shower on Sundays unless we have something major to do.  I love no-shower Sundays.

5. What do you do to vent anger?
Sometimes I punch things, sometimes I yell about it, sometimes I cry.

6. What is your favorite holiday of the year and why?
I guess probably New Year’s Eve.  I’ve had so much fun so many years – all the way back to high school.  Who knows how it will change from now on now that we have a baby.  I suspect that Christmas will eventually be my favorite because it’s so much fun for kids.  I used to love Halloween, but we don’t always do something for that now.  I used to love St. Patrick’s Day, but now it’s crap because I can’t drink Guinness.
