Weekly Workout: Feb. 23 – Mar. 1

Another less-than-spectacular workout week, but I try not to get down about it.  Sometimes it just doesn’t work out.  My weight is down and I feel pretty strong, so I’m doing enough, even if it’s just barely enough.

Saturday, February 23

  • Nothing

Sunday, February 24

  • Nothing:  My volleyball game was cancelled

Monday, February 25

  • Noon – Nothing:  I had to leave work for an appt., so no lunch
  • 7:00 p.m. – 80 minute GoYoga Heated Power Flow Yoga:  I struggled this class.  There wasn’t anything particularly hard, but Anne was teaching, so it was just challenging overall.

Tuesday, February 26

  • Noon – Nothing:  I wasn’t feeling great, so I just stayed in
  • 7:20 p.m. – Volleyball:  We lost all three.  They were a good team and we were just, well, bad.  It’s hard to get the team coordinated because not everyone on our team has played “organized” volleyball (though everyone does well enough).  It’s just hard to get everyone on the same page with defense.  And we always have 3 girls/3 boys on the court, whereas other teams have 2 girls/4 guys.  Considering it’s a men’s net, that puts us at a disadvantage for sure.

Wednesday, February 27

  • Noon – Quadburner Workout: This workout is definitely still a challenge, but now that I’ve done it 3-4 weeks in a row, it’s not doing a lot for me anymore.  I wasn’t sore enough the next day, so I need to go with a new workout next week. Again, the workout is 100 jump rope, 90 second wall sit, 80 squats, 70 bridge lifts, 60 second plank, 50 single dead lifts, 40 back lunges, 30 situps, 20 jump squats, 10 burpees.

Thursday, February 28

  • Noon – Nothing:  I had some stuff to work on over lunch, so I didn’t get our of my office.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Capital Club Yoga:  This wasn’t a terribly hard class, but we did some different things, so it was good.  Very sad news though….Anne won’t be teaching at Capital Club anymore after next week.  She’s pretty much the reason I got so into yoga and the reason Lo likes going.  She’s just a great teacher and pushes you just enough.  I’ll see take some classes from her at GoYoga, but I’ll definitely miss her Thursday class.
  • 7:20 p.m. – CVC Platinum Volleyball:  I subbed for a friend and it was a lot of fun.  It’s a super strong league and those guys just KILL the ball.  I haven’t played as strong of volleyball lately and it was a lot of fun to play again.

Friday, March 1

  • Noon – Nothing:  I have an appointment in the morning, so I won’t be taking lunch.  And since I’m getting there late, I don’t want to leave early to make it to yoga.
