Weekly Workout: May 18 – 24

I had a pretty good workout week, with some extra yoga.  I know I’m going to be sore tomorrow!

Friday, May 18

  • Noon – Yoga:  I went to this class even though theinstructor isn’t my favorite, and when I got there, a lady who is normally in class was filling in. I told her I was 18 weeks and that I’d need to modify some things.  She gave me some good tips and it was a really great practice.  She talked to me again after class and I asked her how to modify a few specific poses once my belly is really in the way.  She practiced until the week before she had a baby, so she definitely will be a good resource for me if I continue.

Saturday, May 19

  • Nothing:  Lo went to Pole Day for Indy, so I gave Boof her walks, ran errands for a few hours, and relaxed at home for the evening.

Sunday, May 20

  • Nothing:  Nothing

Monday, May 21

  • Noon – 45 minute Elliptical:  When I got to the gym, I saw a People magazine I wanted to read, so I decided to do cardio and do a leg workout later in the week.

Tuesday, May 22

  • Noon – Noon Yoga at Capitol Club:  This was another good yoga class.  The instructor for this class is very soothing to listen to, but she kicks our butts with tons of vinyasas.

Wednesday, May 23

  • Noon – 60 minute walk outside:  I took a walk during lunch to go to yoga to Kroger to get office ice cream treats.  We rotate bringing them in during the summer, and I wanted to go before it started to get too hot to walk back to the office with frozen treats.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Go Yoga 80 Minute Heated Vinyasa:  I took this class in Upper Arlington because Anne was teaching and she had some tomato plants to give us.  I’ve wanted to take one there for awhile now, so it worked out perfectly.  I prefer that studio to the one in Powell for the time being because it isn’t quite as hot (and I’m not supposed to get too hot) and it’s a little easier because there’s more of a mix of levels, versus at Powell where the majority of the students are advanced.  I used to be able to fit in with them, but now I lag behind for sure and have to skip all of the fun binds.

Thursday, May 24

  • Noon – 100 Workout:  I did a 100 workout because I wanted to kill my legs since it’ll probably be a lazy weekend. Today it was 100 squats, 90 second wall sit (split in two), 80 calf raises, 70 mountain climbers, 60 lunges, 50 straight leg deadlifts (25 each leg), 40 plie squats with kettlebell, 30 side squat walk with heavy band around thighs, each direction (don’t know what to call those), 20 wall balls with 8 lb ball, 10 kettlebells swings.  I still had lots of time, so I did 20 minutes on the elliptical.  Let’s see how I feel tomorrow!

That’s all folks.  I know I’m not doing anything on Friday because I have a dr. appt and will be flexing out my lunch. What’d you do this week?
