Sunday Social: School Years
It’s Sunday Social day where Ashley and Neely post questions each week for people to answer on their blogs and a linkup. This week is all about the school years. I enjoyed school for the most part, a lot of which had to do with playing sports.
1. Biggest Middle school fashion mistake?
I was a “trendsetter” in middle school – so my best friend and I would start wearing something really stupid and people would start copying us. That said, the worst trend of those years was probably M.C. Hammer Pants, um, or for that matter Hammer shirts?
2. Who were your best friends in hs? Pics?
That’s hard to pin down because I was super close to different people of different ages at different times. I’d say my best friends were Tina, Becki, Erica, Kory, Steve, Jess, and Shanna, but we didn’t all hang out together.
3. What was a typical weekend like for you in hs?
I also don’t have a typical weekend because it depends on whether it was club volleyball season or which sports season. Regardless we usually went to the boys’ game on Friday night, so football or basketball depending on the season, and then to someone’s house to hang out. There were a lot of parties, camping, movies, and the like – sadly, a lot of drinking too (when I wasn’t in a sports season).
4. Did you have any boyfriends/girlfriends? Tell us about that.
I really didn’t have any serious relationships in high school. I dated a couple of people here and there, but nothing major. I wasn’t really into dating. I had a big group of friends and most were guys, so we were just one big happy group.
5. Did you have any secret codes with your friends? Spill your secrets!
Not that I remember – especially not in high school. I think maybe in middle school, but I don’t remember it.
6. If you could relive one day/moment/experience from middle school or high school, what would it be?
It would probably have been when our volleyball team went to State. We had no chance against the team we were playing, but it was a really good game. I think I’d try to remember and enjoy more of it, but we were nervous!
