Baby Watch: Week 26

baby watch

Week 26: July 9 – July 15

Baby size: Head of lettuce; 13.6-14.8 inches, 1.5-2.2 lb.

Maternity Clothes:  All maternity pants except my yoga pants, combination of maternity tops and regular tops.  My belly is really obvious now either way, so it doesn’t matter which type of shirts I wear.  I was avoiding some of my maternity tops for awhile because they made me look even more pregnant than I am, but now it’s irrelevant because it’s out there anyway.  I got some t-shirts from Lo to wear to the gym because I don’t really like how some of my workout shirts are tight through the belly now.

Sleep: I have to switch sides regularly and my hips bothered me a few nights, but aside from waking up to pee every night, I’m sleeping pretty well still.  I love my Snoogle.  I may never give it up.

Symptoms:  Sometimes I get indigestion or heartburn (I really don’t know the difference).  I can’t always tell if I’m hungry or my stomach hurts for some other reason.  My belly button is starting to disappear – it’s kind of just a slit now – so weird, but I don’t really care.  I had a couple of days of not feeling well – stomachache and/or extra tired, but I still can’t complain – a little nappernoo takes care of it.

Workouts:  I did yoga, a 100 leg workout (still doing burpees!), and the elliptical a couple of times.

Good moments of the week:  My parents visited over the weekend to go to the Good Guys car show.  My mom was surprised at how much I’d popped out since last time she saw me.  We had a great visit and picked out fabric for her to recover the nursery glider rocker while my dad was at a car show on Saturday.  My mom was able to feel the baby move.  On Sunday, Lo and I went over to Chuck and Kelley’s for some pool time.  It was close to 90 degrees, so it felt great to float in the pool.  Boof even (accidentally) took a swim.  I missed it because the baby always make me feel like I have to pee even when I really don’t – so I was in the bathroom.  She was fine – her Aunt Kelley jumped in and saved her, but she was at least attempting to swim – so that’s good.  They were able to see the baby moving a little after we ate dinner.

Food cravings:  Quesadillas.  I wanted them a few different times and since we didn’t have other dinner plans, I had them for dinner and lunch a couple of days.  We also had tacos on Saturday, so it was definitely a mexican week again.

What I miss: Sleeping though the night, wearing normal clothes, knowing how much I can eat before I’m too full.

What I’m looking forward to:  Our nieces 1st birthday party on Sunday, a gluten-free baking class at Cherbourg Bakery on Saturday with Kelley (which is pretty much the most amazing bakery, gf or not, in Columbus.  We’re going to learn to make Smores bars (which are my favorite) and cornbread.

Milestones:  I look quite pregnant.  Others have been able to see or feel the baby move other than me and Lo.
