Weekly Workout: Apr. 19 – 25

What?!!  I haven’t posted workouts in forever!  That doesn’t mean I wasn’t doing anything – I literally don’t know how to not do anything unless I’m severely incapacitated for weeks at a time, which I don’t think has ever happened.  I have no idea what else I’m supposed to do on my lunch hour if I don’t workout and I’m feeling fine.  I eat at my desk later in the day, so I don’t want to waste it eating.  So I was still working out some, I just wasn’t getting around to posting about it and I wasn’t doing anything amazing.  Must have been something going around because I know someone else who lives in my house other than Boof who hadn’t been going to the gym at all when I assumed he had been.

  • Noon – Pinterest Workout:  I did a workout from Pinterest that I read about on someone’s blog and I thought it was going to be so much harder than it looked because she made a big deal about how she almost died and was swearing all the way through.  It wasn’t hard.  It was good, but not hard.  I always just make the assumption that skinny people are going to be more fit than me, but that’s sillypants.  I still have to do my pushups on my knees because I’m not sure that my elbow will ever be the same (neither does my elbow doctor).  I believe I rounded out the rest of my time with elliptical, so probably 15-20 more minutes on that.  I sent this to Lo and he did it on Monday before the rest of his workout.

Saturday, April 20

  • Nothing:  that’s how I roll on Saturdays

Sunday, April 21

  • Nothing:  Still rolling like that on Sundays too.

Monday, April 22

  • Noon – Another Pinterest Workout:  I was taking a short lunch today because I got to work a few minutes late and I needed to flex some of my lunch to use on Tuesday for yoga.  This workout was mentioned in the same blog post and it was a short and sweet workout, so I knew it wasn’t going to kill me.  Still, it was great for a short workout.  I think it probably took me closer to 20 minutes, but I wasn’t racing. I just did it in my office with the door closed.  Lo did this one too before he finished with lifting.

Tuesday, April 23

  • Noon – Capital Club Yoga:  While our favorite yoga instructor is no longer at Capital Club, I really like the lady who took over the Tuesday noon class.  She’s very sweet and soft-spoken, but she’ll still kick your butt.  I hadn’t been keeping up on yoga since Anne quit teaching the Thursday night class, so I’m a little behind where I was.  We focused on hip openers, which is always useful to me.

Wednesday, April 23

  • Noon – Nothing:  I had a headache (probably because it turned cold and rainy that day).  So I napped because that’s the only other thing I know to do on lunch unless I’m flexing out my lunch or doing my once-a-month lunch date with a former coworker.

Thursday, April 24

  • Noon – Spinning:  It had been forever since I went to spinning for a variety of reasons.  The instructor kept playing the same crappy music and I kept getting stuck with crappy bikes because I couldn’t get there very early.  Our gym has like 6 good bikes and the rest SUCK – you can’t either have the wheels loose and go fast, or you can have them super tight and barely be able to pedal – they have like 3 speeds.  And they rock side to side.  I decided to suck it up and go anyway because I’ve missed it, and she not only got new music, but I got a good bike because there were only 3 other people in class today.  So it was good, but now my coccyx hurts, along with other areas in the crotchal region.

That’s all folks.  I know I’m not doing anything on Friday because I’m flexing out my lunch to leave early. What’d you do this week?
